Activist, Segalink Blasts Female Coalition For Making #EndSars About LGBTQ+ And Feminist Movement
Popular activist, Segun Awosanya aka Segalink has called out the Feminist Coalition for trying to make the nationwide #EndSars movement about the LGBTQ community.
The Feminist Coalition has been vocal in the fight against police brutality in the country with the movement being charged with the financial aspect of the protest.
However tweets and particularly a recent one from the account of the Feminist Coalition has earned a reply from Segalink who believes the coalition is turning the protest on its head
Feminist Coalition tweeted; ‘Our communal fight to #EndSARS is inclusive of the LGBGTQ+ community who are also harassed, assaulted and killed by police. They deserve the same justice we seek & even more so, as they are also a target of the law. You can’t be what you fight against! #QueerNigerianlivesmatter‘.
However, Segun Awosanya is of the view that the protest is not for the ‘demonic’ LGBTQ+ nor is it for the Feminist and they should stop exploiting vulnerable Nigerians. Quoting Feminist Coalition, he wrote:
‘Kindly call this what it is. This is NOT #EndSARS Movement but an LGBTQ+ and Feminist Movement. Stop impersonating & exploiting the vulnerability of Nigerians, who genuinely wants to end impunity. This agenda is dead on arrival. There is no place for insurrection in Nigeria!‘
